I have been giddy to photograph Mary and Pat's wedding day at Aspen Hall ever since I captured their engagement photos last fall. I am the most passionate and creative in my job when working with couples who feel at home with each other and light up a room with their personalities. Mary and Pat hit those two marks with ease! It felt like a long wait for their wedding day but finally September arrived!
All the weather apps had been forecasting rain for September 7th. I've shot plenty of rainy weddings before, and while they have plenty of magic to them, I had been dreaming of taking Mary and Pat to Upper Shevlin Park for some stunning sunset portraits. So I did some praying, finger-crossing, and my children joined in for a chorus of "rain rain go away". IT WORKED! Well, I choose to believe it worked. Because instead of rain we received one of the most stunning pastel sunsets I've ever photographed, or really ever seen!
Back at Aspen Hall the Leadbetter Band had the whole house jumping! Live bands are such a blast at receptions! And Pat and Mary proved their sweetness even further by checking in on Micah and I multiple times to make sure we were having fun too. Seriously, these two are the best.
Mary and Pat, Micah and I feel so honored to have spent your big day with you. Capturing the grand and intimate moments was our absolute pleasure. Thank you for sharing your joy with us, we walked away exhausted but with full hearts. And we are serious about that double date!
I hope you enjoy these peeks at your wedding gallery! I cannot wait for you to see all of your photos soon!
